I love these bowls from Anthropologie. I actually own a blue one from there.

Most of the stuff is more than I would like to spend, but I do love the color of these bowls....

I think I've been giggling over this blog for over an hour...Graphic Design has always been an interest of mine along with marketing so I have been finding this website fascinating. They compare before and after of logos for companies. I couldn't help laughing about the Gap logo fiasco. They even compared the Doctor Who logo that was changed with the fifth season. I like the new one. ;)

I've been having cravings...I guess this one isn't as bad as the chicken wings and mac & cheese craving (which I still haven't had yet, maybe tomorrow) I actually found someone to bring me girl scout cookies tomorrow...I didn't get to order any, but found a girlscout that had extra to sell.

Good News...

Today I am proud to say I have zero credit card debt. I made a large payment and now everything is showing a zero balance. Credit card debt has been a weight on my shoulders for years. There was uncertainty with my job so it was hard to make large payments. Now all I have left is my car loan. I had to make some sacrifices. I really wanted to buy certain things when I got my tax return but I did the responsible thing and put it all towards my debt. I feel so relieved and happy although I'm sure in time I can enjoy being in debt with home ownership which I am looking forward to. :) I am still going to keep a close eye on my spending and build up a large savings account.

GreenDrinks

I had a great time at the Bangor GreenDrinks last night. It was at WBRC where my friend Jess works. WBRC co-hosted it with Bangor Metro Magazine and Maine Ahead. It was nice to chat with friends and meet new people. I wish I had taken photos. It was nice to catch up with Homer who saved the day fixing the keg. I got a Bangor GreenDrinks pint glass too!

I think this year I want to check out Maine Maple Sunday and visit a sugarhouse. Check out this map of the state of Maine. Sure you can find one near you.

The Maine Maple Producers Association welcomes you to join Maine's Maple Syrup Producers, statewide, as they celebrate Maine Maple Sunday.   Most sugarhouses offer free maple syrup samples and demonstrations on how pure Maine maple syrup is made. Many farms offer games, activities, treats, sugarbush tours, music, and so much more.

Curling

Today I got to learn about Curling and play a game!
The Belfast Club is the only one in the state of Maine.

These are the stones. They are heavy. You don't actually throw them.
It does take some skill to push the stone across the ice to have it end up in the house (the big circle).

Those are the brooms you use to control the speed of the stone.

The ice is pitted so its not slippery,
 but you wear a cover on your shoe to make it so you can slide
when you send the stone down the rink.
