Today I visited the southern most point in the US. Next I will have to visit the other end of Route 1 up in Maine.

Florida Day 2 -Key Lime Pie

Today I ate key lime pie in Key West, Florida. Cross another thing off my life list. :) It was at Kermits Key Lime Pie on Duval Street. It was very yummy. They also have pie dipped in chocolate. May need to try that tomorrow. ;)

Today I ate at Sloppy Joe's and tried a sloppy joe pizza which was delicious. For some reason there are roosters everywhere in Key West.

Florida Day 1

I arrived in Fort Lauderdale. We ate at Bubba Gump's Shrimp. I had a shrimp Po' boy sandwich and a Lt Dan drink. It was very windy and raining outside but I still tried for a look at the beach.

My mother gave me this piece of furniture that belonged to my brother-in-law's family.

I took it apart and painted it. Pretty isn't it? I love the detail in it. 

Today

My mother gave me this to use outside while gardening. Perhaps better than a wheel barrel. ;)

So I started a bunch of seeds. 

When they started sprouting I realized I didn't label any of them... mystery garden?? :)

My grandmother gave me two paintings by my great Uncle George. 

I remember as a child watching him paint at my grandmother's. 

It must have been windy while I was gone. This branch was stuck in the ground where I had cleaned away all the brush before I left on Friday and that tree in the back lost a big branch too.

So I wanted an owl from Target really bad...so I decided to get this guy today. Cute eh?
