Today we went to Treworgy Orchard. We got through the corn maze and did some apple picking before going home to watch some football. 

So in between overtime and my regular shift at work, I supervised while my boyfriend cut down trees and a large branch. We had been wanting to it because we worried the branch would cause the large tree to split due to too much weight on one side. The trees he cut down were causing shade over the vegetable garden.

I made this tonight. It's a piece of clapboard from my house outside and square nails I found while renovating inside.

I am so happy I finished my bureau. It was given to me by my sister and her husband and I had been wanting to refinish it for awhile. It had a black stain on it and needed some love. The blue is Pour Down Blue by Benjamin Moore that was color matched at Lowes using Olympic One paint. I love the color! I replaced the top with a new piece of wood because the original piece was warped. I stained it and then did three coats of polyurethane. I found the knobs at Mardens for only $.49.

Today we did more work on the yard. 

I think we dug up enough slate to use for the new hearth. 

Peter dug up a large piece of granite for me. Think it was used for something based on the cut marks. 

We started leveling the walk way which soon will be brick. 

I found this in the yard today. Three marbles and rocks that I thought were cool. 

Today was my work outing. We went to Blackbeards and played miniature golf, rode go carts, ate pizza and hit balls in the batting cage. It was fun hanging out.

So I keep finding glass marbles in my yard when digging. Today I found three in the front and back yard. Weird...

Saturday I spent with family at my cousin Mel's wedding. So happy for Jon and Mel.

The favor was homemade candles that smelled yummy. My aunt did the center pieces.

I decided to start going to the gym again. Well my boyfriend decided he was goong to start going and convinced me to go with him. I've gained weight and haven't been happy about it because I don't like getting tired easily and clothes not fitting. 

I decided to try this running plan to ease myself into it. My hip started to hurt after running so I'm going to pace myself to avoid further injury. I really want to become fit to enjoy things like hiking and taking part in a 5k. 

I got to see family and the boys today. :)
