I did more digging on the yard. I'm not just digging for fun...no seriously there is a reason. I'm trying to grade a section of the yard though it keeps getting complicated. Like roots, finding a well, nails and glass mixed in the dirt. Sometimes I find things that amuse me..like glass marbles. Thursday was fun finding a plastic green chicken in the dirt. 

My boyfriend thought I was a little crazy when I texted him that I had found a chicken in the yard and asked if I could keep him. He thought someone's chicken had wandered into our yard. I think my mother found the joke more funny. :)

I went for a walk in the city forest the other day. It's one of my favorite places.

I tend to find random things while digging in the yard. Usually it's just rusted metal, nails or broken glass but sometimes I find something cool like a glass marble.

We attended a wedding yesterday for two friends. The wedding theme was books. I turned a bright shade of red after catching the bouquet. :P

Cleaned up the wrench I found in the yard. Guess I've started an old wrench collection. I had purchased some last summer from an estate sale. 

Today I went for a walk and got to see some wild life. The porcupine kinda scared me because I had to walk by him but he just went behind a tree as I walked by. 

Since it hasn't been raining I've been working on the yard and getting the vegetable garden ready.

Random find of the day while digging in the yard - a wrench! Swear whoever lived here before wasn't careful with their things.

Today I did some yard work and tried to clean up the yard some. It feels endless currently with a long list of things to do. I started clearing a section out back to move the garden to. So many roots! 

I got myself a gnome today from Target. Also while digging I found another marble. Swear there are glass marbles all over my yard.

This past week I went on vacation to Vermont. I stayed in Stowe and wandered around the state. 

Today

Today I ate lunch down by the waterfront in Bangor. Chunks of ice are moving down river. 

I got to use my new sander and got most of the stain off. I had issues with the paint stripper but hoping with some extra work the bureau will come out looking decent. I did bring in the snowman that was sitting on the porch. Please no more winter. 

I made salsa verde chicken enchiladas tonight. Simple recipe I found on Pinterest and my boyfriend loved it. I think he's starting to think I can cook. 

Happy Grilled Cheese Day! We made grilled cheese using garlic bread and mozzarella cheese. 

I made dinner tonight trying a new recipe. I made pork chops with parmesan and spinach pasta and broccoli. The recipe for the pasta I found here. I used shells instead of orzo. I grabbed a photo before Peter ate it.

Started refinishing project. Did paint stripper today to get off coat of polyurethane. Still more to do but looks good so far. Will post more pictures when I am closer to being done. 

Tonight I decided to try something new and made stuffed peppers for dinner. My boyfriend loved it and wants me to make it again. I've been enjoying making dinner and getting my boyfriend to eat more vegetables. :)

It was nice to be able to make dinner for my sweetheart. I tend to forget how much I like cooking. I used to work nights for years so making dinner wasn't something I got to do often.

I found a cute case today at the Salvation Army for $1.  Trying to find something different besides white. :)

A friend thought this was a joke but there really are peeps on donuts right now from Dunkin Donuts.
