My garden currently. I already am planning next year. Using the fish emulsion has definitely helped the growth. 

Today I went for a road trip and visited the Saint Croix Island International Historic Site that is near Calais, Maine. It was a beautiful spot to visit.

I've been making progress on the patio area. I added some bricks around where I planted the forthsyia bushes. I think I'll finish adding bricks on the other side too. 

I am happy I got new pillows from my mom that I can use outside. I also scored a $3 peony plant from Lowes today that was on clearance. 

Here is the before and after around the future patio area. I'm tired from shoveling and pulling weeds. 

I also finished installing a fence around my vegetable garden. Let's hope no more animals are sampling my veggies. 

I'm proud of the little door I made. 

Also my clematis is flowering. Yay. :)

I could have spent my day off getting caught up on Games of Thrones though majority of it was spent doing that. My car was at the mechanic for inspection and tires so I decided to be somewhat productive around the house. 

I'm trying to transplant grass so hopefully I can push back that nasty weed that grows around my yard. 

I'm trying to level the yard by the porch. It actually looks somewhat better. Eventually I'll be able to put grass seed down. 

And another marble found in the yard. :)

Excited for my peonies to bloom.  :)

Wish I had a before picture. Got old lilac bush stump removed. Note said only took 30 seconds so he charged me $30 instead of $75. Now to fill in the hole!

I did some plant shopping and worked on my garden today.

Finally took the time to go over to Taco Bell for breakfast. The one on broadway opens at 10am and breakfast is only served until 11am so I just made it. I got the bacon waffle taco and a sausage AM crunch wrap. The waffle taco was kinda blah with bits of bacon with scrambled egg tossed onto a waffle. Maybe cheese on waffle instead on top would make it stick better? Syrup helped a tiny bit but I liked the crunch wrap better that had more spice to it and I liked the layers of flavors with each bite. 

I totally could make a better waffle taco. And I will soon. 

I did more digging on the yard. I'm not just digging for fun...no seriously there is a reason. I'm trying to grade a section of the yard though it keeps getting complicated. Like roots, finding a well, nails and glass mixed in the dirt. Sometimes I find things that amuse me..like glass marbles. Thursday was fun finding a plastic green chicken in the dirt. 

My boyfriend thought I was a little crazy when I texted him that I had found a chicken in the yard and asked if I could keep him. He thought someone's chicken had wandered into our yard. I think my mother found the joke more funny. :)

I went for a walk in the city forest the other day. It's one of my favorite places.

I tend to find random things while digging in the yard. Usually it's just rusted metal, nails or broken glass but sometimes I find something cool like a glass marble. 

This is all the marbles I've found so far.  

We attended a wedding yesterday for two friends. The wedding theme was books. I turned a bright shade of red after catching the bouquet. :P
