Starbucks Auburn

Sorry for the hiatus, I have been without a computer since I now have use of my right hand :P Will be finally getting my replacement computer this week. I made the whole situation more complicated than it needs to be but I will atleast end up saving some money on a sweet computer.
Today I drove down to southern Maine to transport a very large plant for my aunt but also to visit the family. Along the way I stopped at the Starbucks in Auburn which completes my goal of visiting all of the Starbucks in the state of Maine. Silly, I know but I like to have interesting goals. I realized I hadn't been near the Auburn Mall since I was in college. :)

Hammond Castle

Charlotte and I went to Hammond Castle today in Gloucester, MA. It was built by an eccentric inventor who collected all sorts of artifacts like armour and swords. It was interesting to see it in person.
John Hays Hammond, Jr. built his medieval-style castle between the years 1926 and 1929 to serve both as his home and as a backdrop for his collection of Roman, medieval, and Renaissance artifacts.  In addition, the building housed the Hammond Research Corporation, from which Dr. Hammond produced over 400 patents and the ideas for over 800 inventions.  Second only to Thomas Alva Edison in number of patents, John Hammond was one of America's premier inventors.  His most important work was the development of remote control via radio waves, which earned him the title, "The Father of Remote Control."

We went to Chipolte today in Peabody, MA. Had awesome burritos.  I couldn't finish mine. Happy Charlotte suggested it.

Yummy French macarons from Trader Joe's. I know its not from Paris but they are delicious.  :)
