Where's Wendy?
Are you a parent? Do you have young kids and want them to have fun and tire them out at the same time?? Well today I went to The Maine Jump where you can do all of that. Its located at 312 Hogan Road in Bangor (where World Over Imports was located). Its a fun and safe place for kids 12 years old and younger to play. There are multiple bounce houses and the floors are child-proof . There will be an area for parents to hang out and use wi-fi and enjoy Rockcity coffee. I love the fact that the kitchen has a gluten/nut free menu. Also its awesome that there is now a toddler time from 9-10am Monday and Friday so the little kids 4 years old and younger can get their turn. During the day you can have two hours for $8 per child 5-12 years old and $5 for kids under 5 years old. Adults are free. Party options are available too and soon they will have special events. Like them on Facebook to see what's happening there.
I had a lot of fun going with Chad and Cullen even if I didn't get to go in the bounce house. :)

Lunch at Giacomo's
Lunch at Giacomo's, a photo by drwhogrl on Flickr.
I had lunch today at Giacomo's in Bangor with Nick. I love the sandwiches there. Resisted the cupcakes, but not sure how long I can stay strong. ;-)

Where's Wendy?
| Giacomo's at 1 Central Street, Bangor, ME |
I left the house in search of a scone. Not just any scone but a chocolate mint one. I was so very happy to get the last one at Giacomo's at 1 Central Street in Bangor on Thursday. I have a weakness for mint. Besides the yummy menu, Giacomo's has daily specials which sometimes includes scones. I couldn't help thinking why haven't I mentioned Giacomo's yet? Its one of the best places to go during the day for food like salads and sandwiches. I also tried an iced vanilla latte which was delicious. Recently we had a work lunch there and its a great place to meet friends for drinks. The staff is nice and it has a comfortable atmosphere, the type of place you want to hang out at.

Staying on Central Street I walked over to the Bangor Museum and Center for History which had an open flag out front with its doors open at 73 Central Street. I had seen the poster for the exhibit for the Great Fire of 1911 and thought it would be interesting to check out. I learned a lot about Bangor looking at the pictures and seeing the changes the city went through after going through the fire. There were first hand accounts and artifacts available to look at. The Fire of 1911 Exhibit runs from April 30 to September 30 and is available to view Tuesday through Saturday 10am to 3pm. Its free and donations are accepted. The exhibit is in partnership with the Hose 5 Fire Museum.

Bangor Greendrinks
Tonight I went to Bangor Greendrinks at the Hampden Natural Foods store. I was having so much fun chatting with people I made a mistake and I didn't end up going into the store. :-( I will make a trip down there soon to check out the store.
