I was really excited to get these prints at the Yarmouth Clam Festival. They were created by Alan Claude, a graphic artist based in Maine. Bass Harbor is my favorite lighthouse in Maine and one of my favorite spots to visit.

Cooper's current obsession is Pokemon cards. My roommate is trying to learn how to play the game with Cooper. I bought him a set of Black and White cards for his 6th birthday. I think I got him a few good cards. I stood at Target for ten minutes looking at all the different cards unsure what to get. I am amazed its still popular after all these years.

Today I attended my great aunt and uncle's 50th wedding anniversary.
It was great to see family that I had not seen in awhile.

Bobby and Carol from her sister's wedding

Charlotte, Melony and Me

food was yummy!

The party was at the  Biddeford/Saco country club that my great grandfather was president of 1971-1982.

Today I ended up at KahBang, the music festival in Bangor. I didn't really know majority of the bands but I ended up with a VIP pass and had fun hanging out with friends checking out some good live music.

Disc Golf

Today I got to play disc golf. I've always wanted to try it and I had a lot of fun playing it.
I may need to practice throwing the frisbee more but I did get a few good throws in.

the 18 hole course was in the woods
the frisbees are more heavy duty than regular frisbees

You have to get the frisbee in one of these.

Nick taught us how to play disc golf.

Yeah, I got my disc stuck in a tree.....

Mmm Cupcakes

Approve Yoda does of Cherry Acres Cupcakes

I love cupcakes. Cupcakes are on my list of things I can never turn down if placed in front of me. I use to get upset that I couldn't get those fancy cupcakes that you see in large cities like Boston or New York City. Recently I found out that in the Bangor area we have access to amazing cupcakes three times a week at Giacomo's on Central Street. These yummy creations are baked with love by Cherry Acres Bakery which is owned and operated by Nicole King. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday cupcakes are delivered to Giacomo's for us to enjoy. The flavors range from vanilla marshmallow, mint chocolate chip, caramel frappuccino, s'mores, blueberry waffle, chocolate covered cherry, chocolate caramel bacon, pina colada, banana split, lemon blueberry, strawberry cheesecake, pb & jelly, cayenne chocolate, chocolate covered banana, cookies-n-creme, key lime cheesecake, pecan cinnamon roll and the list goes on. She is always creating new flavors and welcomes feedback. You can follow Cherry Acres Bakery on Facebook and Twitter at @Cherry_Acres to know what is coming up for flavors. Today tiramisu & cookies-n-cream cupcakes are available to enjoy.

On Sunday I went out for lunch with my friend Martha to Artemisia Cafe in Portland. My huevos rancheros was very good. I was not aware this place existed, but I am happy I know now. Definitely worth a second visit.
