I spent the evening at University of Maine at Orono with my friend Chad. We did some tailgating and watched some football. I got my picture with Bananas the black bear, UMaine's mascot.

I made a planter using a trick or treat pumpkin to display the mum I bought today for the front steps.

I did not realize my owl obsession has spread to my clothes. Pj pants were gift from a friend a while ago.

I had leftover lasagna with squash and carrots. I am trying to make an effort to be more healthy since I haven't been eating that well that last few months since buying the house. I did a large amount of yard work since Sunday and I'm feeling very sore. I think its a sign that I do need to work out more to be stronger. The front yard though looks so much better after weeding and ripping up the lawn to even out the garden beds. At some point soon I'll plant bushes. 

Happy Birthday to my dad today :) I can't wait to see you in October. 

Today I made lasagna. I used Pioneer Woman's recipe. It was the first time I ever made it. My friends Jenny and Jessica came over to try it and I think I did well for my first try. 

Sharks are awesome. Pillow pet shark? Even awesome-er :)

I have a minor obsession with scarves. With the weather getting cooler I may be a little excited to be able to wear my scarves.

It was a good weekend. I got to see my cousin Mel's new house. Here she is with the M&M from her dad and yes that's her puppy Lexie in the M&M. We kept moving the M&M around on the front yard.

Where's Wendy?

I had been wanting to visit Popham Beach State Park for a long time and finally took the time to visit on Labor Day. A lot of other people had the same idea but the beach wasn't too crowded and the water wasn't freezing cold. I love this beach and the variety of areas you could enjoy that included shallow areas for kids to play and so many spots to sit. You have to pay to enter this park and one of the benefits is bathrooms and changing areas on site and outside showers to wash off sand. 

Yes I'm excited. Here is me wearing my Tom Baker scarf which is over 6ft long. Doctor Who is starting its seventh season Saturday night and I'm excited for a new season. I've been watching the show since 1997 I believe. I have a poster from England of the first episode I ever saw. :)

Couldn't resist grabbing the W magnet while at the dump in the shed where people leave stuff to reuse. Someone actually left an upright piano! If I had a truck I would have considered taking it home. I went to my friend Jenny's apartment and watched Event Horizon while eating sushi with our friend Jessica. The movie was better than I expected.
So far it's been a week of black and white portraits. I wasn't feeling very photogenic tonight but I liked one shot.

I just finished this project that had been waiting to be finished. I used an old frame that was missing the glass and spray painted it silver. I took apart a bulletin board that I found at Goodwill and cut it to size.

Yay for the weekend :)
