Month of Green

To start my month of green after a long work day (10 hours) I went to Arby's to try their Mint Chocolate Swirl Shake. I'm drawn to anything green and minty. 

We had fun at game night with friends. I was amused that my friend changed one of the characters in the game to his choosing. 

It snowed today. So tired of snow but dinner made me happy. :)

I had a great time at this event tonight in Bangor. One of my friends was a presenter and she did a great job.

There will be another one in April. 

Came home to a home made gift from Peyton. Her dad may have made it but was still nice surprise which she gave to me as I was walking up the driveway. 

I have a minor obsession with little trees. Sometimes I put lights in them or ornaments. I'm up to three trees and trying to not buy more. When you put them all together the three trees are different sizes. The amaryllis is in rough shape and I'm not sure where to move it though it won't seem to die. 

I wanted to fill the empty wall above the couch. With a level, tape and measuring tape we created a fun pattern. I still need to fill some of the frames but I do love how it came out. 

Breaking out the green for St Patrick's Day. My boyfriend laughed at me when I said I need more green. 

I'm aware that this is way late but we colored Ground Hog Day posters I got while in PA. 

We didn't get as much snow as expected but it still meant a lot of cleanup. Our least favorite chore is clearing around the mailbox so we can get mail. I think we cleared over two feet of snow. 

On Saturday night when I got home I saw our snowmen. They are in rough shape.

I had a nice Valentine's Day with my boyfriend surprising me with a card, chocolates and a frog. 

Project complete. We made shelves for the living room. 

 I may change things up. But at least my treasures have a nice place to sit now. 

Already rearranged. Lol

It was a slow week where I worked and didn't do much at home. It's been a quiet weekend compared to last weekend in Pennsylvania.

I did think up a simple project to do. Will post more once it starts to come together. 

Happy Groundhog Day!

While in PA we drove south and visited Indiana, PA, the hometown of Jimmy Stewart. It was cool to learn more about the great actor.

I attempted some sewing tonight. I learned burlap is not easy to sew with. Not perfect but will look ok on the couch for February. 

Today we went to an estate sale in Bangor. It was an old house that was cool simply to walk around in. I got a potato basket, a press for toast that says good morning. Peter got a circuit board holder like what he used for his senior project for only a $1 and he was given a baseball too. We are curious to see what the house will go on the market for. 

I took the time recently and reorganized the pantry. Eventually I'd like to redo the pantry room and make it more functional. 

I got the trays from Target for $1 each. 

Today I decided to change things up and add some red to decor.
