I had a door knob that was loose so I decided to take apart all the ceramic door knobs and removed all the paint off of them. I boiled the hardware with soap to get the paint off. I refinished the metal hardware with Rust-oleum flat soft iron.

After spraying them. I love how they came out.

We worked on drywall today in the dining room. Peter is getting better at taping and mudding. Next up is sanding then painting. I think I'll lightly sand the beams to get the paint off of them.

Today we worked on the barn. We moved things around and ripped down shelving that wasn't spaced well. We reused the boards to build a new work bench. I also had Peter take down a cabinet that was too high to use. I found a cool key behind it. I made into a space to keep the yard tools. Soon we will organize all the tools and find a home for everything.

It wasn't easy getting the shelving down. The person who built it used longer than needed nails. Let's just say there was no chance of it falling down on its own. We had to use pry bars, sledgehammer and hammers to get it apart.

We will build shelves adjacent to it soon. We only used the lumber we had available. It's a work in progress but I'm very excited already.

Used the stick to keep the doors closed when we were trying to take it down. Someone had nailed it up.

Shovels and rakes have a home now.

And we took the time to play with sparklers. :)

The kitchen wall painting is complete. Yay!

In my dining room I had no light fixture. Over a year later and I finally have one that I made myself with a little help from Peter. It's made with an old light fixture and hanging baskets.

Home Improvement

Tonight I got to use my new wrench from the tool kit Charlie got me for Christmas. I have never replaced a shower head before and was overwhelmed with the choices. The one that came with the house was horrible and didn't have any way to adjust it. I went to Lowes and got a Moen shower head that had different settings and a wider spray.

Old shower head...

No way to adjust it, horrible

Took me a bit but I got it off with the wrench
thread?

Oh I see, it goes there...

Yay! I like it!
