Today I got to see gingerbread houses that were made at work. I liked this one a lot.

So on Wednesday my coworker Shawn left this dog on my desk. His reasoning is that he wants to convert me to a dog person. Mind you, he is the same person that keeps telling everyone at work that I am a crazy cat lady. I left a cat on his desk weeks ago and he said we could petsit for each other....I think people at work think we are both weird...

Day 24 - Something Different

I tend to be shy and quiet and I try to not be that way. If I am comfortable I can chatter on for hours if someone lets me. Wednesday I spoke honestly at a meeting in front of a group of people how I felt. I didn't hold back and it did feel good to let out my frustrations and be honest. I feel like if something is bothering you don't hide it or complain about it constantly. It felt good to get it off of my shoulders and to move ahead. I feel like you should be yourself and if someone doesn't like you then its their loss to not have you in their life. I am happy to say I do have people in my life that do make me smile and inquire how I am doing on a regular basis.
I liked this quote that I read that reminded me of how I want to be, more confident, especially at work to achieve my career goals and personally in my life outside of work.
"Be confident. And even if you don't feel confident, fake it."

Day 25 - Something Different

Today at work we celebrated being the 1# call center for Quality and the celebration included dumping gatorade on our associate directors...it was below 40 degrees out and someone thought it would be a good idea to add ice to the gatorade....

Day 26 - Something Different

Not much to report for Monday....was a slow news day. Jeff made me laugh when he walked into a door which I don't think was on purpose.

Day 27 - Something Different

Today I went to watch my friends go curling at the Belfast Curling Club. I wasn't able to play due to my hip injury, but I did have fun doing something different. I babysat Cullen for three hours. I rarely watch my friends' kids so this was different for me. He was very well behaved and the three hours passed by quickly. I wish I could have taken some photographs from the ice, but I had fun taking pictures of Cullen.

This was my responsibility for a few hours today.
Thankfully there was no point where I had to get his parents' attention. Isn't he a cutie?

Day 28 - Something Different

Saturday I spent the day trying to get some of my Christmas shopping done. A visit to Toys R Us nearly made me go home, but I continued to other stores and actually left with presents for loved ones.

Day 29 - Something Different

Today I got to decorate a Christmas tree at work with my coworkers. 

It was fun despite getting glitter everywhere. :)

Day 30 - Something Different

Last night I watched Edward Scissorhands with friends. We had a discussion about Johnny Depp and thought why not watch that movie. It was rather odd and I only remembered some of it. At least it aged okay compared to some movies from that time period.

Day 31 - Something Different

Simply, if I have four cups of coffee, real coffee, then I talk really fast and I am hard to understand which is what happened today when I got to work and my coworkers stared at me like I was a crazy person...please keep coffee away from me...

Day 32 - Something Different

I like collecting things, especially coins. I was pretty excited to find the blue books to collect coins at Goodwill. I had been wanting to collect pennies for a while and was happy to have something to put them in. I was all excited because I found in my collection a 1943 steel penny and an Indian-Eagle penny from 1904. I may start asking people for pennies...I would love one minted in San Francisco, never seen one from there before.

Wow...I think that's a first that my fortune actually sounds true. I caved and got chinese food today with my coworker which it was so much food it will easily be two meals. Hoping for good news by the end of the week. I hate waiting....

Today my grandmother showed up at the house with lobster rolls. Yummy! 

I don't think I've ever had a lobster roll in December.
