I made broccoli slaw last night. I used crasins and thought it came out good. I usually buy it made but wanted to try making it at home.

I got to visit the Common Ground Fair this year. I love checking out the crafts and trying different food. Also I found the animals so adorable. 

Pumpkin cheesecake 

Recently I went to Dew Haven in Mt Vernon, ME. I loved seeing the animals and watching my niece react to seeing the animals. 

I made a mess in the kitchen last night. But I did end up with a few jars of pickles made with zucchini. 

Soaking for two hours in cold salt water. 

I like how the color changes with boiling it in spices. 

It's Fall beautiful Fall. 

We are both wondering when it will be Fall. It's still hot out.

I made salsa today. I didn't follow a recipe though I probably should have. Think I went too heavy on the cilantro but overall I thought it tasted good. 

This dog drives me a little crazy but I love him. 

Saratoga Springs

I visited Saratoga Springs, NY recently. It was a nice city to visit. Plenty to see and do. 

Today I had breakfast at the Palace Diner. Ever since I was a kid I wanted to check this place out. Now it's open with new owners and the food is delicious. I tried the deluxe sandwich and it was yummy. 

Realized recently that I love the taste of fresh cut peaches. Mmmm 

Also isn't my niece adorable? :)
